How Do You Feel
— h o w d o y o u f e e l —
How do you feel?
acrylic paint, fabric dye, spray paint, thistle plant, and oil paint on canvas
40 x 30 inches
2026
Some days the little voice in your mind isn’t so nice
it starts to tell you how you did things wrong
You start to look around at everyone else and compare
and the feelings start to get real loud
So find the voice and reach your hand
Shine a light and ask your heart
How do you feel today?
How do you feel right now?
Does your feeling have a color or shape?
What do you need today?
What do you need right now?
What would clear the stormy weather inside?
Some days are fun in the sun with all of your friends
And you feel like a kite in the sky
The time moves so quickly and soon it is night
And your heart feels warm and full.
So close your eyes
And take it all in
Think of the light and all of your friends
How do you feel today?
How do you feel right now?
Does your feeling have a color or shape?
What do you need today?
What do you need right now?
How to hold onto memories?
Know there’s good and bad, light and dark, merry and sad and a whole lot of world in between
just be with your heart through everything
especially your feelings
