—  f o r t h e d r a g o n s —

There was a night I chased the moon
It was orange like a fox
The fireflies seem to kiss the sky
And the fields look full of stars

I parked my car off Highway 8
To watch the shifting of lights
I wondered how one could feel so much
Wonder and loss
Spinning around like the fireflies
In a cornfield on a summer night in June

There was a night I chased the moon
It was bright like the sun
The birds seemed to dance in the light
And the air was full of hope
I fell asleep under the stars
Taking in that wild night
I wondered how one could feel so much
Wonder and loss, sorrow and love
Spinning around like the fireflies
Under moonstone skies
Spinning around with you
On a summer night in June

I’m spinning around
I’m spinning around
I’m spinning around
I’m spinning around
I’m spinning around
I’m spinning, spinning, spinning,
spinning, spinning around

I’m spinning around like the fireflies
All glowing bright
Oh, spinning around with you
In a cornfield on a summer night in June
